Powerful, thought-provoking, important- Not So Fun House Audience Feedback

Over the last 18 months young people supported by Llamau and City and County of Swansea have met fortnightly. Working alongside professional artists they were invited to make their own live event using any artforms they wanted. They choose through the process to use this as an opportunity to make a change and highlight how interlinked the challenges of being at risk of homelessness and poor mental health are and how they can become a spiral of challenges in both directions. Overtime they decided to do this by creating a truly intimate and immersive multi-artform theatrical experience in The Vaults in Cardiff Bay. The event was attended by decision makers from Cardiff and Swansea Council as well as Assembly Members alongside those whose work it is to support young people experiencing housing and mental health challenges.

‘Really powerful and important performance by a group of young people today at The Vaults on Bute Street. We followed Branwen as she navigates the system as a young homeless person up sgainst the barriers in place’ Luke Fletcher AS/MS
