On the 1st July Mess Up The Mess were very lucky to have Jacob Boehme come and run an aboriginal dance and voice workshop with the young people at MUTM.
Jacob is a Melbourne born and based artist of Aborignal heritage, from the Narangga (Yorke peninsula) and Kaurna (Adelaide Plains) nations of South Australia. He is an independent artist and Artistic Director of IDJA, Victoria’s first professional Indigenous dance theatre, established in 2011.Jacob combines his unique training in dance, puppetry, and playwriting) to create multi-disciplinary theatre, dance and ceremony for stage, screen, large-scale public events and festivals.
The young people thoroughly enjoyed the highly energetic workshop and were excited to experience something different.
