atyp recognises that theatre and storytelling broaden our understanding of ourselves and others. We see this as a truth that transcends age, geography and culture. Theatre gives us the chance to walk in another’s shoes and have them walk in ours. It gives us the freedom to articulate and explore experiences that cross the boundaries of race, religion, age, health, wealth and sexuality. Throughout the world, throughout time people have shared imagination, joy and wisdom through performance.

For over 45 years atyp has created a space for young people to collaborate with leading Australian and international theatre professionals.
