About Inspired Productions- New Zealand Delivery Partner
Inspired Productions was established in June 2008 to promote community development through the use of participatory arts and media. In our first year we have been successful in delivering a number of high-profile innovative theatre and media projects with young people in the Nelson region.
Inspired Productions (IP) operates as a growing umbrella organisation for community workers to deliver theatre, music, arts, dance and media projects with community groups. IP promotes participatory approaches in the way it delivers projects so the work of the organisation is both about process and product. The process aspect is about facilitating groups to develop material through workshops, which is often issues-based, leading to the participants having a voice to articulate these issues and their concerns. The process also includes up skilling participants and their support workers to have ownership of the production process, so that they have control over how they are portrayed and how their feelings and concerns are communicated. This contributes to group purpose, individual self-worth and self-determination.
The product aspect of the work is about facilitating pieces of artistic work that are of a high quality. This is facilitated by professional practitioners as a way to role model practice and support groups in producing work that will be respected for its ‘message’ and well as its ‘production’.

Sefydlwyd Inspired Productions ym Mehefin 2008 i hybu datblygiad cymunedol drwy ddefnyddio celfyddydau a chyfryngau cyfranogol. Yn ystod ein blwyddyn gyntaf rydym wedi llwyddo i gyflawni nifer o brosiectau theatr a’r cyfryngau arloesol, proffil uchel gyda phobl ifanc yn rhanbarth Nelson.
Mae Inspired Productions (IP) yn gweithredu fel corff mantell sy’n tyfu, ble gall gweithwyr cymuned gyflwyno prosiectau theatr, cerddoriaeth, celfyddydau, dawns a chyfryngau ar y cyd â grwpiau cymunedol. Mae IP’n hybu dulliau gweithredu cyfranogol yn y ffordd y mae’n cyflwyno prosiectau fel bod gwaith y sefydliad yn ymwneud â phroses ac â chynnyrch. Mae’r agwedd broses yn ymwneud â hyrwyddo grwpiau i ddatblygu deunydd drwy weithdai, sy’n aml yn seiliedig ar faterion, ac sy’n rhoi llais i’r cyfranogwyr fel y gallant fynegi’r materion hyn a’u pryderon. Mae’r broses hefyd yn cynnwys rhoi sgiliau i’r cyfranogwyr a’u gweithwyr cefnogi fel y byddant yn gallu cael perchenogaeth ar y broses gynhyrchu, ac fel y bydd ganddynt reolaeth dros sut maent yn cael eu portreadu a sut mae eu teimladau a’u pryderon yn cael eu cyflwyno. Mae hyn yn helpu i greu pwrpas grŵp, hunanwerth personol a hunan-benderfyniad.
Mae agwedd gynnyrch y gwaith yn ymwneud â hyrwyddo creu darnau o waith artistig o safon uchel. Caiff hyn ei hyrwyddo gan ymarferwyr proffesiynol fel ffordd o greu model rôl ar gyfer ymarfer ac i’r grwpiau cymorth wrth iddynt gynhyrchu gwaith a gaiff ei barchu am ei ‘neges’ ynghyd ag am ei ‘gynhyrchiad’.
