Youth Worker

Are you passionate about young people and youth culture? Are you committed to making sure all young people are able to participate regardless of the particular barriers they may face?

We’re looking for a youth work professional 1 day a week to play a key role in our brand new Amplify project. Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company alongside Pontardawe Arts Centre and its Friends group will lead a youth project, engaging young people in creating, managing, delivering and participating in youth led events, volunteering at the Centre and creating a Youth Forum. The activities will support young people to gain skills and experience, and overcome barriers to them reaching their full potential.

We need a Part Time Youth Worker with a qualification in working with young people to organise and supervise the Drop In Tech Zone on Thursday evenings, supporting the recruitment and engagement of participants and supporting delivery of activities during the weekly sessions. The post will include the recruitment and retention of participants within the programme. The hours may be spread across 1 or multiple days.
