We’re delighted to share the news that Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company has been awarded a grant from Carmarthenshire County Council’s Targeted Finance Fund.

This funding will allow us to continue running our much-loved Ammanford youth theatre sessions between January and April 2025. Each week, around 20 young people will take part in creative workshops where they can build confidence, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships in a safe, supportive space.

The grant also helps us safeguard three staff posts and cover essential costs such as hall hire and overheads, ensuring we can keep delivering high-quality, youth-led theatre experiences for our community.

Mess Up The Mess has been part of life in Ammanford since 2007, and thanks to this support, we can continue to provide opportunities for young people to express themselves, grow in confidence, and shape their own creative futures.

We’re grateful to Carmarthenshire County Council for recognising the importance of youth theatre and helping us keep the stage open for the next generation.
