We are looking to recruit a Stage/ Production Manager and 3 Emerging artists for the Lost Voices Project.
Lost Voices is a 2 year project which creatively explores the lost voices of young people who have not traditionally been heard, including young people with experience of the care system and young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Mess Up The Mess is working with Llamau and City and County of Swansea Children’s Services to support young people to find their voice, develop, shape and create their own large scale artwork.
16-25 year olds from across South Wales are working with some of Wales’ leading artists to co-create a public artwork in July 2023 which will give voice to their experiences and tell the stories they want to tell. The destination in this creative journey is still being developed, but this is what we know so far:
We are going to make a multi-artform installation journey/experience for an audience “The Not So Fun, Fun House” that is:
- Part installation
- Part live performance
- Part gig
- Emotional experience
- Multi-sensory
- Exploring the themes and links between Homelessness & Mental health
