The Not So Fun House – Save The Dates

Lost Voices – has been creatively exploring the lost voices of young people who have not traditionally been heard. Young people with experience of the care system. Young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Young people experiencing people mental health. Young people struggling to find their path. This creative opportunity has been supporting young people to find their voice, develop, shape and create their own large scale artwork.

Funded through Arts Council of Wales, Connect and Flourish, Lost Voices has brought together Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company, Llamau and City and County of Swansea Children’s Services in an 18 month+ programme of creative workshops culminating in a large scale public artistic experience in this July.

Please mark July 6th for Swansea Launch Event & July 14th for Cardiff Event in your diary to come & experience this extraordinary and exciting youth led work.

Young people connected to Llamau and Swansea Children’s Services have worked and will continue to work alongside artists over to explore in depth their own lives, experiences, thoughts and feelings. The final artistic experience will amplify the participants voices and ensure they are heard. You the audience will engage with the world the participants create on the terms the participants define.

The young people have created a vision for a ‘Not So Fun House’ exploring links between mental health and youth homelessness. They are in the process of designing and making a multi-artform installation journey/experience for an audience that is

  • Part installation
  • Part live performance
  • Part gig
  • Multi-sensory immersive experience
